Innovation Engineer

Requirements
- 3D Design, SolidWorks preferred
- 3+ years experience in custom machine design
- Robotics experience a plus
- Passionate problem solver and creative thinker
- B.S. in mechanical engineering or related field
Responsibilities
- Develop new automation systems under guidance of senior engineers
- Fully design and oversee installation of new automation systems
- Gather innovation ideas and trends and apply them to new concepts
- Collaborate with vendors on innovation projects
- Support the manufacture and installation of innovation projects
Job Duties:
- Prepare simulations of new automation systems with guidance from Senior Engineers.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for innovation ideas
- Support “pitching” of new automation systems to management and customers
- Prepare CAD concepts of new systems with enough detail for a cost analysis and presentation to customers
- Prepare SolidWorks CAD models and drawings of approved systems and test equipment for manufacturing as well as enter product structure into the ERP system
- Communicate directly with Drake customers and vendors to answer questions and resolve performance issues
- Aid the engineering staff as directed
Machinists, Welders, Finishers - 2nd Shift
Drake is seeking machinists, welders and finishers for long term employment on 2nd Shift. Lead opportunities available.

Accounting/Payroll Clerk (part-time)
Pay Range: $25-$35 per hour
Hours: Flexible between 20-30 hours per week. Benefits available at 30 hours.
Schedule: Flexible working hours between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On site training followed by remote flexibility.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll/General Accountant to join our team. This position requires an independent worker who can effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a flexible work environment. The role involves a range of accounting duties centered around payroll and general accounting, supporting approximately 50-60 employees. The HR Manager and Controller will provide a structured workflow, but proactive suggestions for process improvements are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll operations for approximately 50-60 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Payroll Reconciliation: Perform regular payroll reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Journal Entries: Record payroll-related journal entries in the general ledger.
- Commission Calculations: Calculate and process commission payments accurately and timely.
- Vacation Tracking: Maintain and update records of employee vacation balances.
- Marketing Spending Tracking: Track and report on marketing spending based on G/L account activity and ensure voucher support.
- Marketing Account Reconciliation: Reconcile marketing accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Additional Information:
- Equipment Provided: Company will supply a laptop with VPN connection and two monitors to facilitate remote work.
- Work Time Table: HR Manager and Controller will establish weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly workflows and oversight that is deadline driven.
- Meetings: Attend weekly status update meetings to discuss work progress and upcoming tasks.
- Process Improvement: Free thinking and suggestions for process improvements are highly encouraged.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll processing and general accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
